Brusque answer is no, you have an employment agreement, and docking people pay is confronting the police. Phone call the Ministry help line:+18005315551

It's kinda odd that they don't pay you more when you piece of work well over forty hours a calendar week, take four hours off and they get nuts.
The arrangement sucks...

Ignore the idiots in this thread, the answer is no. Contact the OLB.

If this happened to me the company would never see another minute of work over the required minimum from me again. Really shooting themselves in the human foot over two hours here.

Contact an employment law business firm that gives gratis initial consultations. They may even be able to help answer your question initially over the phone.
I recollect the specifics of the contract and your situation are relevant. No ane hither can give you a definitive reply without reviewing both. It is concerning enough to me that I'd look further in to it.

There are many employment contract types. Armchair lawyers on reddit aren't the people yous should be asking.

Exercise y'all have a contract or understanding?
Sounds similar they did illegal deductions.

I think this depends on what has been spelled out in your employment contract. I would honestly contact legal counsel and request a consultation. Because you are salaried, I am bold you have a contract and the terms of your pay are probably spelled out in that contract.
I don't think any comment here, including mine is 100% correct. You need a legal expert, not a redditor.

Although people are "salaried" information technology is generally for a sure amount of hours. If you took unauthorized time off, yep they can reduce your pay to reverberate that. Cheque your paystub...does it bespeak "hours" per week? I am salaried based on a 44 60 minutes work week. If I took a few hours off unauthorized you better bet they'd adjust that 44 hours downwards and my "bacon" would reflect that. Your salary is based on a certain amount of hours expected per calendar week...don't work those hour don't go paid for them.

A) Asshole comment to brand
B) Considering there is a employment contract in place for exactly that
C) Moderately practiced jobs don't punish your pocket book or paycheck for unforseen circumstances. We aren't the United states of america, your auto breaking downward, getting sick, or family member dying should not be grounds for non being able to buy food this month. And if you think it is, see betoken a
